    Times Square just got a whole lot busier. After days of setting up a stage, lights, a toboggan run and lots of other activities, Super Bowl Boulevard has come to life.  It opened on Wednesday at Noon and it's on Broadway and stretches from 34th Street up to 47th Street. One and a half million people are expected to walk through the event which runs through Saturday.

    As part of the security measures in place for the Super Bowl events and festivities, 200 cameras will blanket 13 blocks from 34th Street to 47th Street on Broadway in Manhattan. The temporary cameras add to a system of thousands of permanent cameras covering the city. The NYPD monitors them from a command center in lower Manhattan. The department has software that can program the cameras to detect suspicious activity, such as a bag or other objects left for a long time.

    January 29, 2014, will be a big day for the Marching Cobras. They will kick off the Super Bowl festivities on Super Bowl Boulevard in Manhattan. The marching band is made up of kids from New York City and Westchester. Many of them have emotional and behavioral needs, but all are excited to have scored the gig of a lifetime.
