Programming Assistant
Responsible for handling the administrative duties in the Programming and Research department. Duties include answering phones, distributing mail, filing, photocopying, stocking supplies, processing work orders, maintaining various reports, maintaining schedules in the Wide Orbit system, sending schedules to appropriate people inside and outside of the company and assisting with other projects as needed. Minimum of 1 - 2 years of clerical experience. College degree preferred.

Executive Producer
Supervise on air presentation of newscast, and live coverage of news special and breaking news events. Exercise authority in determining which stories are incorporated into news programs and the manner in which they are presented. Ability to supervise and manage people. College degree required with an emphasis in communications or journalism preferred. Minimum of 5 – 7 years of television news producing is required. Good editorial judgment and the understanding of the legal and ethical parameters for mass media are essential. Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television news production required, including digital and web-based newsgathering tools. Must be able to use news room computer systems, including Avid Inews and Avid search, editing and graphics programs.

Web Producer
Create, edit and/or manage news stories, photos, videos and interactive content for all platforms (website, mobile devices, newsletters, text messages, etc). Develop pages relevant to continuing news coverage or specialized content. React to and post breaking news quickly and accurately. Populate and administer social media initiatives. Find ways to optimize our content through SEQ, social media or referral sites. Monitor statistics (online and social media) and research areas for potential growth. Monitor newscasts, social media trends and other news sources to determine newsworthy stories for the site. College degree, preferably in journalism, communications, web development or related field and a minimum of 2 years of web production. Experience in various online photo, video and web software programs (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Avid). HTML/CAA, Java, content management systems and hand-coding are strong assets. Have a thorough understanding of various social media platforms and the skills to engage effectively (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc).
