KTTV FOX 11 (myfoxla.com) - Christine Devine is a reporter, producer, anchor, and philanthropist.

She anchors the weeknight newscast on Fox 11 ten p.m. and Channel 13 eleven p.m. Devine is recognized for her community service and was named "Media Volunteer of the Year" by Volunteers of America (LA).

For her on-air work she's won:

  • 14 Emmys, six for best newscast
  • Best Anchor Team by Associated Press
  • national Gracie Allen award by AWRT American Women in Radio and Television
  • Anna Quindlen award for philanthropy journalism by Society of Professional Journalists
  • "Angels in Adoption" from the U.S. Congress

Devine is known for her Wednesday's Child news segment. She has been honored by the U.S. Congress and Child Welfare League of America. Since 1994 Fox 11 News has profiled hard-to-place children in foster care waiting to be adopted. Records show more than 400 children have found forever homes.

Devine is an alum of Arizona State University. She is in the Hall of Fame at the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism. She has also funded her own journalism scholarship. Devine is on ASU's National Alumni Council and received the Young Alumni Achievement award. Devine was also a recipient of the Medallion of Merit and Leadership Scholarship.

Devine is a co-founder of The Good News Foundation. It is a non-profit built by five TV newswomen dedicated to honoring good news and good works in Los Angeles. GNF awards scholarships, grants and sponsors an annual "Legacy Project" to leave a lasting impact on the community. GNF was honored with the "Inspiration Award" by AWRT American Women in Radio and Television.

For her 1/2 hour specials Devine was honored with:

  • the prestigious National Gracie Allen Award by AWRT American Women in Radio and Television for 1/2 special she wrote, anchored and co-produced on breast cancer
  • Golden Mic for a 1/2 hour special she wrote, anchored and co-produced on Habitat for Humanity
  • 1/2 hour special she wrote, anchored and produced on foster care helped earn the Anna Quindlen award for philanthropy journalism
  • a 1/2 hour special she anchored titled "The Black History Project" is in a Chicago museum.

An active community supporter, Devine has been honored before the LA City Council, LA County Board of Supervisors, and by the Los Angeles Police Department and LA County Sheriff's Department. In 2007, LAPD's Hollenbeck division named her "Humanitarian of the Year."

In Hollywood, Devine has played a reporter on TV and in film: Melrose Place, 90210, "24", Wag the Dog, Independence Day, Cable Guy, Most Wanted.

Devine joined Fox 11 in 1990. She is from Arizona and was high school Valedictorian.
