Jean Martirez

KTTV FOX 11 (myfoxla.com) - Jean Martirez co-anchors the Fox 11 Morning News, seen weekday mornings from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., and the Fox 11 10am News which follows Good Day LA. Jean also anchors the midday newscast, Fox 11 News at Noon.

She joined KTTV Fox 11 in October 1995 as a general assignment reporter for Fox Morning 11 News and Good Day LA.

Martirez joined KTTV Fox 11 from KCNC, the CBS affiliate in Denver where she anchored the morning newscasts.

Previously, she was morning anchor at KSAT, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio, TX. Earlier, she worked as anchor and reporter at KGBT, the CBS affiliate in Harlingen, TX.

Before that, she was morning anchor and reporter at WXII in Winston-Salem, NC.

Martirez began her broadcasting career as weekend anchor and reporter at KOMU in Columbia, MO.

From 1993-1995, Martirez hosted "News for Kids," the Emmy-award winning syndicated children’s newsmagazine.

Martirez was graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.
