KTTV FOX 11 (myfoxla.com) - Lauren Sanchez is an entertainment / special projects reporter and fill-in anchor for Good Day LA on FOX 11.

Until Fall 2008, Lauren Sanchez anchored My13 News together with Rick Garcia on weeknights.

Sanchez co-hosted the delicious but all too short-lived "That's So Hollywood" weekly entertainment show on FOX 11.

She also hosted the premiere season of the hit FOX show, "So You Think You Can Dance."

Sanchez joined KCOP-TV from Fox Sports Network, where she served as anchor/reporter for ‘Fox Sports Tonight,’ and as correspondent for the cable channel’s newscast, ‘Going Deep.’

Her in-depth investigative report on ‘Going Deep,’ exposing the dangers of metal baseball bats earned her an Emmy nomination.

Sanchez began her career as a news assistant at KCOP-TV in 1993. She has also held positions as anchor/reporter for ABC affiliate KTVK-TV in Phoenix, AZ and with the entertainment/reality series, ‘Extra.’

Sanchez majored in Communications at the University of Southern California. Outside of the demands of her anchoring duties, Lauren is a volunteer for the Special Olympics and she is very involved in the Hispanic community.

She is also an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to football, and she considers working out her "best sport."
