Former major league pitcher Matt Keough, whose family is featured in the "Real Housewives of Orange County" reality TV series, is again facing drunken driving charges, a sheriff's official confirmed today.
Keough, 54, who pitched for the Oakland A's, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in his Coto De Caza home, said Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.
Deputies say they saw him make a "rolling stop" at a stop sign in the gated community and attempted to pull him over, Amormino said. He ran into his home, but deputies followed him inside and arrested him, according to Amormino.
Keough's car was towed and he was taken to jail, but later posted $10,000 bail. His blood-alcohol content was allegedly nearly four times the legal limit of .08 after his arrest, Amormino said.
Keough pleaded guilty to drunken driving in 2005 and was sentenced to three years probation and 180 days in jail, after rear-ending a car idling at a red light, pushing it into a pedestrian who injured a knee.
Keough was arrested again in December 2007 for violating probation when he was seen drinking at a Newport Beach bar.
