(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Courtney Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is alleging that money from Cobain's estate left to Love and their daughter, Frances Bean, has been "looted" by some of the people in charge of handling the estate, according to a report in the New York Post . Love claims that more than $30 million and as much as $500 million worth of real estate was stolen and laundered.

"I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude," said Rhonda J. Holmes, Love's attorney. "This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy."

Holmes alleges that people handling Cobain's estate used Cobain's, Love's and their daughter's Social Security numbers to buy and sell real estate all over the country. She said that Love's team is working with local and federal authorities to find the people responsible for mishandling the estate, and that any property they are able to recover will be donated to people who havelost their homes in foreclosures.

Love's allegations come just two days after the 15th anniversary of Cobain's suicide . Cobain died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the age of 27.
