Los Angeles - Los Angeles police said they did not remove Charlie Sheen's twin sons from his Mulholland Drive mansion tonight.
Police received a call from the block where Sheen lives requesting police for a child exchange, but the request was cancelled, Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner said.
There was no report that the children were endangered or that the call came from Sheen's residence, Rayner said.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Los Angeles police responded to Charlie Sheen's home when a security guard called saying the actor's former wife, Denise Richards, had arrived at the residence to check on their two daughters.
The entertainment news website Radar Online reported tonight that police removed Sheen's twin sons and gave them to their mother, his estranged wife Brooke Mueller.
The entertainment news website TMZ later reported that Mueller submitted a declaration alleging that Sheen said, "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and sent it to you mom."
On his Twitter account, Sheen posted, "My sons are fine... My path is now clear... Defeat is not an option...!"
Sheen and Mueller have twin sons, Bob and Max, who were born in March 2009.
Mueller was granted a restraining order against Sheen earlier today, TMZ reported.
The order from a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge requires Sheen to stay 100 yards away from Brooke Mueller and have no contact with her, according to TMZ.
Sheen told TMZ, "Great. I was already planning on staying 100 parsecs away from her."
A parsec is an astronomical term for a distance equivalent to 3.26 light years.
Mueller claimed Sheen threatened her several times and feared for her safety, TMZ reported.
Sheen told TMZ that he was considering getting a restraining order against Mueller because of her erratic behavior.
Sheen filed for divorce from Mueller Nov. 1.
The couple were married May 30, 2008, but have been separated since Christmas Day 2009, when Sheen was arrested for allegedly assaulting Mueller during a fight in Aspen, Colo.
