Los Angeles - Meg Heigl brought a special canine visitor to the Good Day LA set in hopes of helping find him a new home. Her sister, actress Katherine Heigl, called in to the show to talk about the work they do help end animal suffering.
The Heigls' foundation saved the blue-nosed pit bull after he was orphaned when his owner went off to war and no one could take care of the dog.
The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation -- founded by Katherine and her family -- celebrates the memory of Katherine's and Meg's brother, who died in a car accident in 1986.
