Brazilian Blowout Hair Treatment

The Brazilian Blowout is the perfect cure for a bad hair day... lose the frizz without losing body!

Not since Jennifer Aniston's "Rachel Cut" has a hair treatment been in such demand.

Women who get the Brazilian Blowout hair-smoothing treatment say they swear by it.

"It's the best thing that's ever happened to my hair," says Marlo Longstreet, who's had the treatment. "I have thick, 80's Jersey-style hair that's outta control. Once I got the Brazilian blowout done, I dry it with a hair dryer and don't have to use anything."

Nicole Ritchie, Lindsey Lohan and Halle Berry are among the celebs said to treat their locks to the Brazilian.

At salons like Bree in Studio City , the Brazilian Blowout has become a booming business.

The hair treatment may run you a couple hundred dollars... even more... but people say it's worth it.

"Everybody's just crazy for it," says hairstylist Deborah Miller. "It's a treatment that takes the frizz out of your hair. It's a woman's dream! When you have curly hair, you want straight hair... and when you have straight hair, you want curly hair."

First, the hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo to get the residue out. Then, a special solution made up of a protein complex is massaged into the hair.

After the treatment, the hair is blown dry, ironed, rinsed and blown dry again.

The whole process takes about an hour-and-a-half from start to finish and should last around 12 weeks.

Be sure to speak with your stylist before you got for a Brazilian Blowout to make sure you are a candidate for the treatment. People with sensitivity to certain hair products or chemicals can have an adverse reaction to it.
