Los Angeles - Opening statements in the Conrad Murray trial included a lot of talk about Michael Jackson's use of propofol and Dr. Murray's use of the anesthetic.
Prosecutors alleged Murray caused Jackson's death by providing him with a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol and other sedatives without the proper lifesaving equipment or skills.
Defense attorneys countered that Jackson caused his own death by taking a drug dose, including propofol, after Murray left the room.
On Wednesday, Dr. Peter Abaci, who is board certified in anesthesia, talked to us about propofol and pain management.
