Los Angeles - Dr. Conrad Murray's attorney says he will appeal yesterday's guilty verdict, but for now, Michael Jackson's doctor is behind bars.
On Tuesday, FOX 11 legal analysts Brian Oxman, Leo Terrell, and Robin Sax gave us their take on the verdict and the Judge's decision to have Murray remanded into custody. Watch the videos in the media player.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death and could face four years in prison when he's sentenced Nov. 29. He's been ordered held without bail until then.
But a prosecutor says it's unlikely Murray will end up serving much time. District Attorney Steve Cooley says non-violent felony offenders are being sentenced to overcrowded county jails and are then being released early.
Prosecutors will address whether Murray should pay restitution at a later hearing. And the physician is being pursued by Jackson's father in a wrongful death lawsuit.
Jackson's mother has expressed relief at the verdict, but the reaction was different for at least one of his sisters. Rebbie Jackson tells NBC's "Today" she felt numb and "started crying profusely" as "the reality of what had transpired" hit her.
