Grab a Cocktail with Master Mixologist Julian Cox

Los Angeles - Most people know that when it comes to wine, white goes with fish and red goes with meat... but what about the right cocktail with your meal? Juist ask celebrity bartender Julian Cox at Sotto.

Story Script:

Sotto aims to be authentic Italian... but before you ask for wine with your pasta, consider Julian Cox's signature cocktails.

He shakes, bruises, breaks and flames... but what he does best is create cocktails with food in mind.

Take Sotto's famous wood-fired pizza.

What best to go with this classic with tomato and basil? Julian decides to pair the pizza with his marjoram-infused Spirit of Sangre, a drink with Italian sparkling red gragnano, cherry brandy and citrus.

Julian Cox
Marjoram and basil go really well together... and also really traditional red wine Gragagna flavor combination.

Julian is in the process of redesigning Sotto's seasonal cocktail menu.

He does the same for three other notable Los Angeles eateries... Rivera, Playa, and Picca. The latter of which is just upstairs from Sotto.

Like Sotto, each restaurant has its own distinct cuisine... and distinct liquors to go with it.

Julian's latest cocktail creations will be on the menu at the end of the month.
