Police Chase 7-Year-Old Joyrider

Police are often involved in high speed car chases but it is not every day that the car in question has a 7-year-old behind the wheel. The episode was captured on police dash cam video.

Sunday in Plain City, Utah, a driver called police after the boy ran a stop sign and nearly hit the other car. Weber County sheriffs deputies tried to get him to pull over, but the 7-year-old driver avoided them and turned down another street.

The chase led them to a nearby high school where the boy drove around the parking lot before getting back on the main road. Authorities finally caught up with him when he drove home, parked in the driveway and ran inside to hide.

The boy later admitted to his father that he stole the car to avoid going to church.
