FBI: Alleged Sexual Cyberbully Arrested

Los Angeles (myFOXla.com) - The FBI has made an arrest after an investigation into "sexual cyberbullies"... men who get underage girls to take off their clothes and perform sex shows on camera, secretly recording them and sharing the videos.

Federal prosecutors accuse 40-year-old Lawrence Silipigni of coercing underage girls across the country to perform sex acts on web cameras.

They say he posed online as a 17-year-old boy and secretly recorded the girls.

Federal agents arrested Silipigni at his Massachusetts home last month and say they found more than a hundred videotapes of web cam sessions involving girls.

Silipigni is charged with "production of child pornography" and "use of facility of interstate commerce to induce a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity."

In the indictment and criminal complaint, investigators say Silipigni stole the screen names of a teenage boy and used his photos to romance underage girls, get them to engage in sex chats and more while he recorded the sessions.

The FBI says Silipigni then shared those videos and other child pornography with other people doing the same thing.

A FOX 11 News investigation in 2008 on communities dedicated to sexually exploiting underage girls led to the FBI investigation that has now led to Silipigni's arrest.

The FBI affidavit in the Silipigni case echoes what we reported... child predators are getting together via the Web to not only exchange videos, but also share tactics and discuss potential targets.

Silipigni's attorney had no comment on the charges against his client.

Investigators say they have yet to identify most of the victims they say they found in a hundred or more videos on Silipigini's computer.
