Is a Child Predator Stealing Your Wifi?

Los Angeles - FOX 11 News recently reported on a disturbing online game being played by child sex predators called the jailbait game. Now, here's the story of how these predators are getting innocent people involved by hijacking their wifi.

THEY HIDE BEHIND THEIR COMPUTERS, USING THEIR KEYBOARDS TO LURE YOUNG GIRLS INTO STRIPPING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA.

NOW, WE'VE LEARNED HOW THEY'RE IMPLICATING OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THEIR ONLINE CRIMES.

WE TOLD YOU RECENTLY HOW THEY PLAY THE SO-CALLED JAILBAIT GAME.

PREDATORS AWARD POINTS FROM A MENU TO KIDS... FIVE POINTS FOR BLOWING KISSES, MORE FOR SHOWING SKIN... AND SECRETLY RECORD THE UNDERAGE GIRLS AND SHARE THE VIDEOS WITH OTHER PEDOPHILES.

"It boils down to the most vulnerable of kids. These predators are out there on line and they do one thing which is to groom the child."

FBI SPECIAL AGENT MICHAEL OSBORNE HAS BEEN WORKING CHILD EXPLOITATION CASES FOR THE LAST 13 YEARS.

HE SAYS SOMETIMES IT TAKES PEDOPHILES MONTHS -- SOMETIMES JUST DAYS -- TO GROOM A CHILD. THE GOAL: GET THEM TO DO ANYTHING THEY'RE ASK IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA.

Once that image is out there, you can't bring it back.

CHILD PORN FILES ARE ALL OVER THE NET. YOUNG GIRLS AND BOYS IN EVERY SICK SITUATION IMAGINABLE. FOR MANY ONLINE PREDATORS, IT'S A FULL-TIME JOB COLLECTING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.

We've seen situations where they don't get up from the computer to eat or do anything. They live at the computer. So you go to your job everyday. I go to my job everyday. They go on line every day. It's their sole purpose to attract, groom and target these young kids online.

AND TO AVOID GETTING BUSTED, MANY OF THESE PEDOPHILES ARE NOW MOVING FROM NEIGHBORHOOD TO NEIGHBORHOOD AND USING PEOPLE'S UNLOCKED WIFI TO ACCESS AND DISTRIBUTE CHILD PORN.

IT'S A QUITE A SHOCK WHEN THE COPS SHOW UP AT THE HOMES OF UNSUSPECTING VICTIMS.

Robert Back, Victim:
When they told me it was child pornography they were in there for, of course I felt sickened.

JUST LAST MONTH IN WHITTIER, ROBERT BACK FOUND HIMSELF IN A LOT OF TROUBLE.

Robert Back, Victim:
Shocked! Dragged outside in my pajamas, thrown up against the wall, trying to figure out what's going on.

POLICE SHOWED UP AT HIS HOME THINKING HE WAS A PEDOPHILE.

IT TURNS OUT, BACK HAD RENTED A ROOM IN HIS HOUSE TO A MAN HE BARELY KNEW.

STEVE YNCLAN TOLD BACK HE WAS A COMPUTER TECHNICIAN AND JUST NEEDED A PLACE TO STAY FOR A SHORT TIME.

THE ONLY THING HE SEEMED TO CARE ABOUT WAS IF BLACK HAD WIFI.

Robert Back, Victim:
He asked a lot questions: Did I have wifi? Did I have a computer? He was more interested in whether it was all hooked up and ready to go.

A SEARCH WARRANT SHOWS SOMEONE IN THE HOUSE HAD BEEN RECEIVING AND SENDING OUT CHILD PORN.

WHEN THE COPS SHOWED UP, YNCLAN WASN'T HOME. INVESTIGATORS TOOK HIS COMPUTERS, HARD DRIVES AND OTHER MATERIALS.

BACK TELLS US, WHEN YNCLAN CAME BACK TO THE HOUSE, IT WAS CLEAR HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT HAD HAPPENED.

HE TOLD BACK TO GO AHEAD AND KEEP HIS BELONGINGS. HE LEFT SEVERAL BOXES.

Robert Back, Victim:
He told me he didn't care because he was going to start his new life. Your new life? What is that? He goes, "I'm going to prison for the rest of my life for what I've done."

SIMILAR STORY IN MONROVIA... COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW SOMEONE AT AN APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND WAS ALSO DISTRIBUTING IT.

We have no idea what happened. We were scared as hell. We didn't know what was going on.

INVESTIGATORS HAD EVIDENCE THAT SOMEONE WAS USING THIS MAN'S WIFI FOR CHILD PORN.

THE REAL SUSPECT WAS NOT AROUND WHEN THE COPS SHOWED UP.

Dan Mack, Victim:
They pulled up and jumped out with their vests and their guns and they all lined up like you see on TV, and next thing you know they were hitting the door and we were standing across the street watching the whole thing. It was great.

AGENT OSBORNE SAYS WE COULD ALL LEARN FROM THESE CASES. THERE IS A VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION.

Much like you would lock your door, you've gotta protect your own wifi network.

IN OTHER WORDS, SET UP PASSWORD PROTECTION ON YOUR WIFI NETWORK SO THAT NOBODY CAN ACCESS IT.

ROBERT BLACK WISHES HE'D DONE THAT, AND DIDN'T END UP HAVING TO DEAL WITH THE COPS AND EXPLAIN TO HIS NEIGHBORS WHAT HAD HAPPENED.

I sat down with them and apologized to them that I had put our good neighborhood into that kind of a condition so I apologized to them all.

INVESTIGATORS SAY IT'S IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS TO BE WARNED ABOUT THE WAY THESE ONLINE PREDATORS WORK... TRICKING KIDS WITH THE JAILBAIT GAME AND SNEAKING ONTO PEOPLE'S WIFI.

AGENT OSBORNE SAYS HE ALSO HAS A WARNING FOR THE PREDATORS. HE'S WORKING SEVERAL BIG CHILD PORN CASES RIGHT NOW, AND HIS PEOPLE ARE OUT TO GET THE BAD GUYS.

THE FBI SAYS THEY'RE WORKING ON SEVERAL BIG CASES AND ARE AGGRESSIVELY GOING AFTER THE PREDATORS INVOLVED.
