Winnetka (myFOXla.com) - Three people were being treated today for non-life- threatening
wounds they suffered in a drive-by shooting that followed a stare-
down in Winnetka.
The shooting at Oso Avenue and Saticoy Street was reported
about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, said Officer Karen Rayner, a Los Angeles
Police Department spokeswoman. All three people suffered leg
wounds, she said.
The victims were standing next to a taco truck when someone
in a passing vehicle opened fire
"There were six people sitting at portable tables near the
taco truck," said Lt. James Roberts of the Los Angeles Police
Department's Topanga Station. "One of them got in a staring contest
with somebody who walked by, eyeballing.
"Then a vehicle drove by, and one to two three males in the
vehicle fired on them," Roberts said. "Three of the six people at
the tables were hit."
The three victims were all transported to a hospital for
treatment, Roberts said, adding that investigators were treating
the incident as gang- related.
