Car Stolen With 2 Kids Inside Found

Compton (myFOXla.com) - Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies say they have found the two small children who were in a car that was stolen outside a Norwalk business.

Authorities said a citizen who heard an Amber Alert for the children recognized the Toyota Scion parked on a Compton street Tuesday evening, about three hours after the vehicle was reported stolen. Sheriff's Sgt. David Infante said the 2-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy were left in the car, apparently unharmed. No suspect has been found.

The children's father told detectives he left them in the car with the engine running while he went to run an errand. He said that when he returned two minutes later, the car was gone.
