Pasadena (myFOXla.com) - A 16-year-old Arcadia resident was chosen today as the 92nd Rose
Queen, and she will preside over dozens of events leading up to the
2010 Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl game.
Natalie Anne Innocenzi, a student at Flintridge Sacred Heart
Academy, was chosen from among the seven members of the Royal Court
to serve as Rose Queen.
The members of the Royal Court were chosen from among more
than 1,100 teens and young women who tried out to be part of the
2010 Tournament of Roses parade, themed "A Cut Above the Rest."
Innocenzi and the six princesses "are perfect ambassadors for
the Tournament of Roses and the city of Pasadena," said acting
Tournament of Roses President Jeff Throop. "They are talented,
graceful and stellar examples of what it is to be `A Cut Above the
Rest.' We are delighted to have Queen Natalie lead our court and
reign over the 121st Rose Parade and 96th Rose Bowl game."
The queen and Royal Court will take part in about 150 events
leading up to the New Year's Day parade and football game.
Innocenzi is captain of the junior varsity tennis team and
participates in track and field. She is president of the Amnesty
International Club and a board member for the Alzheimer's
Foundation of America Teens. She has lived in the Pasadena area her
entire life.
