Big Rig Crash Closes 118 Freeway

A big rig jackknifed on the eastbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Granada Hills today, spilling some oil onto the roadway and blocking the eastbound lanes for nearly two hours.

The accident was reported west of the San Diego (405) Freeway about 9:10 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

All eastbound lanes were blocked until about 11 a.m., when two of the lanes were reopened. The remaining lanes were reopened about a half-hour later.
