Hollywood (myFOXla.com) - Hundreds have turned out for a memorial service for a
17-year-old girl who was kidnapped and found dead in her own car
last month in downtown Los Angeles.
Fellow students, family and friends gathered at a park in
Hollywood on Sunday to remember Lily Burk. Programs were handed out
with her photo and guests signed books with warm messages about the
teen.
Police say the girl was running an errand for her mother when
she was abducted and driven to an ATM but was unable to withdraw
money. Investigators say she made two calls to her parents asking
how to obtain the cash.
Police contend she was killed and left in the car by
50-year-old Charles Samuel who is charged with murder, kidnapping
and robbery.
