Los Angeles (myFOXla.com) - Michael Jackson's highly anticipated memorial will be held at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 7th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
11,000 free tickets will be distributed for the event. How they'll be distributed will be revealed on Friday.

After a lot of speculation and rumors... it's official.
Randy Phillips, chief executive for AEG Live, which owns Staples and was Jackson's promoter, says he met Thursday with Jackson's brother Randy.
They discussed holding a public memorial Tuesday at Staples but were waiting for Jackson's mother, Katherine, to approve of the plan.
A Jackson memorial would attract tens of thousands, but only 11,000 free tickets will be distributed.
Phillips says AEG will issue tickets to Staples and provide a simulcast on big screens outside the arena.
Earlier reports that there would be a $25 charge for Michael Jackson funeral tickets were incorrect.
