La Habra (myFOXla.com) - Three armed robberies were carried out in a 35-minute span in Fullerton and La Habra, and two suspects were in custody today following their arrest at the scene of the third heist, police said.
A handgun was recovered at the third robbery scene, the Liquor King store at 141 E. Imperial Highway in La Habra, La Habra police Lt. Jerry Price said this morning.
"The two subjects in custody may be responsible for all three robberies," said Sgt. Andrew Goodrich of the Fullerton Police Department, speaking from outside Liquor King.
The first robbery was reported at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday at a 7-Eleven store at Gilbert Street and Commonwealth Avenue in Fullerton, Goodrich said. At 11:17 p.m. a robbery was reported less than two miles away at a 5 Twelve market at Chapman Avenue and Euclid Street, also in Fullerton, he said.
The third robbery was reported at 11:31 p.m., about three miles north Chapman and Euclid, Price said.
