Ryan Jenkins Manhunt Continues

Buena Park (myFOXla.com) - U.S. and Canadian authorities today sought a reality show contestant charged with murdering and mutilating a 28-year-old model he met and married in Las Vegas.

Jasmine Fiore, who had been on a trip to San Diego for a poker tournament with 32-year-old Ryan Alexander Jenkins of Calgary, Alberta, was found stuffed in her suitcase in a Buena Park trash bin a week ago today about 7 a.m. She was fingerless and had her teeth removed, an apparent attempt to thwart her identification.

Orange County coroner's investigators used serial numbers on Fiore's breast implants to confirm her identity. Police believe she was killed just hours before her nude body was discovered by a man looking for recyclables.

Jenkins reported Fiore missing Fiore missing last Saturday night -- before the body had been identified -- then disappeared. He told police she left their penthouse apartment in Fairfax Village in the 800 block of Edinburgh Avenue about 8:30 p.m. last Friday, police said.

Canadian police detained a man arriving in Toronto on a plane yesterday evening, but later released him after officers determined that he was not Jenkins.

Jenkins had been contestant on "Megan Wants a Millionaire," a VH1 show in which a woman competes for wealthy young men. The son of well-known architect Daniel Jenkins, billed himself as an investment banker, but her reportedly is a real estate developer in Calgary.

Jenkins was arrested in April in Las Vegas for allegedly hitting Fiore, and Canadian courts confirmed that his record includes a 2007 conviction for assaulting a girlfriend. He was given 15 month probation in the 2007 case.

It was unclear how the 2007 conviction got past VH1 screeners, but the network suspended the show. Jenkins also was a participant in another VH1 show called "I Love Money 3" that has yet to air.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $25,000 reward for tips leading to Jenkins' arrest. He was charged with murder in Orange County on Thursday.

"Mr. Jenkins is considered dangerous, possibly armed, and has the financial means to hide anywhere in the world," said Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.

Anyone with more information as to Jenkins' whereabouts was urged to call the Marshals Service at (800) 336-0102.

A boat belonging to Jenkins apparently was found in Point Roberts, Wash., which is just south of Canadian border and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Fiore and Jenkins, who apparently married March 18 in Las Vegas, had a falling out in May, and published reports suggested she may have been planning to leave him.

Jenkins went to Mexico to do another reality show after the fight, but the two apparently got back together when he returned.

But Fiore and her ex-boyfriend, Robert Hasman, were in Los Cabos, Mexico, together last month, according to TMZ.com.

"Ryan Jenkins is an animal. What he has done to Jasmine is unspeakable," Hasman said at a news conference in Buena Park Friday.

On Aug. 13, the Jenkins and Fiore checked into the L'Auberge Del Mar hotel in San Diego Aug. 13, left the hotel the next morning and went to a poker party later that day, Orange County prosecutors said.

Jenkins could be driving a black BMW X5 or Fiore's white Mercedes-Benz CLS 550.
