Tipster's Fax Leads to Body in Car

Los Angeles (myFOXla.com) - A woman's body was found Saturday in the trunk of a car in Valley Village after police received a tip about a murder, police said.     
   
The incident was reported at 1:50 p.m. in the 11700 block of Hortense Street, near Colfax Avenue, said Officer April Harding of the Los Angeles Police Department.     
   
"Officers received information that news stations received a fax indicating a homicide that was committed Feb. 28 in the area," Harding said. "When the officers got to the area, they found a female body in the trunk of a car."
