Los Angeles (myFOXla.com) - A man who shot and killed his boss and a co-worker at a Vernon lumber yard amid a world-related dispute was in custody today, police said.
The shooting occurred about 9:40 a.m. Monday at Bohnhoff Lumber Co., 3411 East 26th St., according to a Vernon Police Department statement.
Saul Moreno, 51, was arrested shortly after the crime, following a brief pursuit that led to Huntington Park, according to police.
Moreno was being held without bail and scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in East Los Angeles, according to the sheriff's department.
Killed were Charles Bohnhoff, 55, of Whittier, and Jaime Sanchez, 31, of Bell Gardens, said Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner's office.
Bohnhoff owned the business along with his father and son, Winter said.
"The victims and suspect were all employees of Bohnhoff Lumber," police said in a statement. "According to investigators, suspect Moreno had been involved in a work-related dispute prior to the shooting." Other details were not released.
