Church Burglar Detained by Boxing Coach

Valencia - A boxing coach who works at a Valencia church successfully detained a suspect committing a burglary there on Wednesday. The coach detained a man on the grounds of Christ Lutheran Church at 25816 Tournament Road at 8:10 a.m., said Lt. Dustin Stillwell. A second suspect escaped.

The employee chased and detained the suspect until deputies arrived.

Deputies recovered stolen merchandise from the suspect's vehicle. He was booked for burglary. Bail was set at $20,000
