Los Angeles - Few things are more emotional than a child custody battle... about three weeks ago, 2-year-old Veronica was taken from Matt and Melanie Capobianco - the family that adopted her at birth... and given to the biological father she had never seen.
Veronica's biological father is Cherokee... and a law that favors keeping Native American families together... trumped the rights of her adopted parents.
On Friday, Psychologist, Dr. Cynthia Swenson, a specialist in pediatric psychology... and professor at the Medical University of South Carolina... joined us live for a discussion on the Capabianco's adoption battle.
Dr. Swenson knows the Capobianco family personally... and was there when Veronica was handed over to her biological father.
