Los Angeles - The prosecution has hit a snag in the pending manslaughter trial for Conrad Murray, the doctor accused in Michael Jackson's death. It turns out that a key prosecution witness has left the country.
This was revealed at a very brief hearing in Judge Michael Pastor's courtroom on Thursday.
Tim Lopez, the pharmacist who testified in the preliminary hearing that he shipped large amounts of propofol to Dr. Murray's girlfriend in the 3 months before Jackson's death, has gone to Thailand.
Now that Lopez has mysteriously disappeared, prosecutors want to use his testimony from the preliminary hearing.
Attorneys Trent Copeland and Meline Mkrtichan discuss how this could affect the case -- if at all -- with FOX 11's Hal Eisner in the video.
