Los Angeles - Lakers owner Jerry Buss has been hospitalized in Los Angeles with blood clots in his leg, a representative for the team said Wednesday.
Doctors believe the 77-year-old's condition was caused by excessive travel, according to TMZ.
"He's progressing well and expects to be released in the next day or two," the representative said.
Buss, a real estate mogul, was inducted into the Basketball of Fame as a contributor to the sport last year.
He bought the Lakers in 1979, and the franchise has won 10 NBA titles under his ownership.
