North Hollywood (myFOXla.com) - A man described as an intoxicated transient was shot twice
during a street argument with two men in North Hollywood today and
police were searching for his attackers, according to a Los Angeles
Police sergeant.
The shooting occurred about 1:50 a.m. near Magnolia Boulevard
and Vineland Avenue, said Sgt. Mike Kammert of LAPD's North
Hollywood Station.
"The victim, 25 years old and a transient, was approached by
two men possibly Armenians," Kammert said. "An argument ensued and
one of the men pulled a small-caliber handgun and shot the victim
twice."
The shooting victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
where he was treated for gunshot wounds to the hip and the upper
stomach, Kammert said. Neither wound was considered
life-threatening.
"We're getting all this from a witness," Kammert said. "The
victim won't talk to us. He's still intoxicated and very
uncooperative."
Kammert said police were looking for two white males,
possibly Armenian, and one may still have the small-caliber handgun
used in the shooting.
