More than $401,000 dollars have been disbursed from the fund for victims of the Seal Beach shooting rampage. Eight people were killed and one hurt at the Salon Meritage last October by accused gunman Scott Dekraai. Among the eight were Dekraai's ex-wife Michelle Fournier.
Trustees of the fund disbursed 80% to the victims’ relatives, including Fournier's and Dekraai's son, and the injured victim.
The balance of the funds went to people who were trapped in the salon, the employees and witnesses.
Scott Dekraai has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for April.
