Simi Valley - On Sunday, while many spent their day watching football, in Simi Valley a community rallied to help a family hit hard by tragedy. Over 20 neighbors banded together and held a combination yard and bake sale to help their neighbor, the Tapias.
Last month the husband and father committed suicide and burned down his family's rented home. The surviving wife and two children lost everything.
A fund has been set up to benefit the family at Wells Fargo Bank under the name of The Tapia Memorial Fund, account number 5715043476. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo branch.
