Sylmar - A 17-year-old boy was allegedly fatally stabbed at his Sylmar
home, and his 20-year-old big sister wielded the knife, police said
today.
Parrish Reed was found slashed and bleeding about 8:40 p.m.
Saturday in an apartment building in the 12100 block of San
Fernando Road, said Los Angeles police Officer April Harding of the
Media Relations Section.
Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he was
pronounced dead. Reed's identity was released by coroner's Lt.
Cheryl MacWillie.
Police arrested his 20-year-old sister, Amber Reed, at the
apartment. She was being held in lieu of $1 million bail for
suspicion of murder, Harding said.
According to detectives, a heated argument over money had
erupted, Amber grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her
brother in the chest.
Police asked anyone with information about the incident to
