Siri Goes Down for Apple iPhone 4S Users

Los Angeles - Apple's Siri virtual assistant apparently experienced an extended outage on Thursday.

When users tried to use Siri on the iPhone 4S, the voice responded, "Sorry... I'm having trouble connecting to the network" or did nothing.

iSmashphone was the first to report the problem, which apparently started around 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday. Twitter is abuzz about the Siri outage.

Mashable.com reported that Siri appeared to be working again as of around 2 p.m. Pacific Time.

Our iPhone 4S owners here at FOX 11 were still experiencing some difficulties with the service into the evening.

Apple has not publicly responded yet.
