Anaheim - Its October again... the time of year that conjures up thoughts of harvests and Halloween.
It's also the time of year when we find ourselves lured back to Pa’s Pumpkin Patch in Long Beach... this time to help Anthony (1999) seek out the great pumpkin that has his name written all over it!
Anthony is a very task oriented child who enjoys playing with Legos as well as video games, sharing that his favorite characters are Mario Bros. and SpongeBob. Anthony has some special needs but is enrolled in regular education and excels in his classes -- especially science -- and earned all As on his most recent report card. During this current 2011-12 school year, Anthony is also demonstrating positive citizenship in the 7th grade.
Anthony can be quite talkative, especially with adults, but due to Asperger’s syndrome he sometimes has a hard time appropriately socializing with his peers.
At times, Anthony is extremely polite and can be quite thoughtful, especially when it comes to younger children.
Anthony is currently receiving counseling services to address his social skills and would benefit from the patience, nurturing and unconditional love of a permanent family.
If you think your family could be "the great match" for a kid like Anthony, don’t stay hidden in the patch. We're looking for you!
