Frank McCourt To Appeal Divorce Case Rulings

Los Angeles - Attorneys for Frank McCourt have filed notice that they are going to appeal the ruling that determined the Dodgers are jointly owned by Frank and Jamie McCourt.

The notice was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court but the case will be heard by a state appeals court.
The filing states attorneys will challenge several rulings made by Judge Scott Gordon against Frank McCourt.
Gordon in December threw out an agreement the couple signed after buying the Dodgers in 2004 that gave Frank McCourt sole ownership of the team. The ruling cleared the way for Jamie McCourt to seek half of one of baseball's most storied franchises.
The couple have been locked in a bitter court battle since Jamie McCourt filed to divorce her husband of 30 years in October 2009.
