Westlake (myFOXla.com) - A large portion of those who lost power in Los Angeles because of the storm had power restored this evening. Of the 8,000 customers who lost power in the Westlake area about 5 p.m., 6,000 of them had power back on two hours later, said Gale Harris of the Department of Water and Power.
Power was restored by 6:37 to the approximately 2,900 customers in the Boyle Heights area who lost service at 3 p.m., Harris said.
The cause of the two outages was not immediately available, Harris said.
Southern California Edison was still tabulating its latest figures, a spokeswoman for the private utility said.
