(NewsCore) - Justin Bieber has dyed his blond locks a dark shade of brown, sending his bevy of admirers into a tizzy, E! News reported Monday.

Bieber stepped out with his new hairdo over the weekend and his fans, known as "Beliebers," were quick to comment.

"Justin lost 80,000 followers when he cut his hair & he lost 25,000 followers when he dyed hair," one follower tweeted, with another adding "Justin Bieber gets brown hair, world war III."

Despite the shock prompted by the change, his stalwart fans still offered him support.

"Even if Justin Bieber dyed his hair neon green I'd still be a Belieber. Hair doesn't define a person," one wrote while another wrote, "Justin Bieber looks better with his hair darker."

On Sunday, Bieber, 17, celebrated the fifth year anniversary of the launch of his music career, when he posted his first home video singing performance to his YouTube channel.
