Bruce Springsteen 'Wrecking Ball' Due in March

(EndPlay Staff Reports) - Music legend Bruce Springsteen is set to release his 17th studio album in March, his official website announced.

The album, "Wrecking Ball," is set for a March 6 release and will include 11 original songs written by Springsteen.

Rolling Stone pointed out that two of the 11 songs have been performed by Springsteen before: "Wrecking Ball" was performed during his "Working on a Dream" tour; and "Land of Hope and Dreams" was played during the 1999 E Street Band's reunion tour.

Fans do have something to look forward to, according to his long-time manager Jon Landau.

"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball,'" Landau said in a statement on the site.

Rolling Stone called the latest album "politically charged," and the Huffington Post noted that the album seems to get inspiration from the recent Occupy Movement.

The first single has already been released, "We Take Care of Our Own," and you can pre-order the album on Amazon and iTunes now.

Here's a list of the 11 song titles that will be on the album:

1. "We Take Care of Our Own"

2. "Easy Money"

3. "Shackled and Drawn"

4. "Jack of All Trades"

5. "Death to My Hometown"

6. "This Depression

7. "Wrecking Ball"

8. "You've Got It"

9. "Rocky Ground"

10. "Land of Hope and Dreams"

11. "We Are Alive"

Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on an extensive tour through the U.S. and Europe this year. Check his site for tour dates and ticket information.

A special edition of the album will also be available with 2 bonus tracks and original artwork and photography.
