(New York Post) - Notorious prankster George Clooney has warned Hollywood pal Brad Pitt to brace himself for the mother of all pranks.
"I'm working on one right now for Brad Pitt. It might end his career," Clooney joked in an interview on "Inside the Actors Studio," to air on Jan. 31.
"I've been working on it for two years. I'm not going to tell you what it is, but just know, I got it," he added.
As for what Pitt can expect, Clooney's pranks in the past might give some clues.
While shooting "Ocean's Eleven," Clooney famously placed potted plants in front of Julia Roberts' trailer door so she couldn't exit.
And while Matt Damon was trying to lose weight for his role in "The Informant" in 2009, Clooney had the actor's pants taken in by a tailor daily, leaving the actor perplexed as to why he was gaining weight.
"I have done some horrible things to people. Truly, truly horrible," Clooney told "Actors Studio" host James Lipton, explaining his predilection for pranks. "I'm a big believer in making sets fun in general."
Earlier in January, Clooney got in a low-grade swipe at Pitt at the Golden Globes when he hobbled on stage with a cane, the same one Pitt used following a tumble on a ski slope while carrying daughter Vivienne.
"I have to give it back to him. He can't make it to the bar otherwise," Clooney said, adding, "It's nice to be able to tell him not just what wonderful work he's doing in two films this year, but what wonderful work he does in the rest of the world to the rest of the people."
Meanwhile, Pitt said he was thrilled to be nominated for the Best Actor Oscar alongside Clooney.
"It's more fun to have a friend there. No one does it better than George," Pitt said. "I say give him all the trophies, and when you run out of trophies, make some new ones and give him those, too."
