'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe Becomes NFL Convert

(The Sun) - Quidditch is no longer "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe's favorite sport.

The British actor has snubbed soccer and started playing "American" football after spending all his time on the other side of the Pond.

Speaking at the London premiere of his new movie "The Woman In Black," Radcliffe said, "I've really got into it and I promise you, it is a fantastic sport. I was so snobby about it for years but once I understood it, it's great."

He added, "I've been staying up late watching it over here -- I saw the Baltimore Ravens play the New England Patriots. I've turned into a secret American, it's very disappointing."

Radcliffe said he will join a team the next time he shoots a movie in America.

"Look at the size of me, I'm sure everyone wants me in their side," he joked.

Sadly for him, he will never make as big an impact in the sport as the new pride of Scotland, Lawrence Tynes, whose overtime field goal took the New York Giants to the Super Bowl next month.
