Former 'Home Improvement' Child Actor Busted for Drug Possession

(NewsCore) - Actor Taran Noah Smith, who played the youngest son Mark Taylor on "Home Improvement," was arrested on charges of drug possession Wednesday.

Police in Los Angeles found a pile of hash in Smith's 1998 silver Honda Accord and believed the actor was under the influence of drugs when they arrested him at around 1:00am local time.

Cops became suspicious when they saw his car parked at an angle in front of a fire hydrant.

He was booked on felony DUI and drug possession charges and was believed to remain in police custody Wednesday.

Since his stint on the successful 1990s Tim Allen sitcom, Smith has only appeared in small feature films.

At the age of 17, in 2001, he married chef and artist Heidi Van Pelt, who is 16 years his senior. The pair divorced in 2007.
