Baskin Robbins Offering '31 Cent Scoop Night'

(EndPlay Staff Reports) - So, here's the scoop: Baskin Robbins shops around the country are hosting " 31 Cent Scoop Night" and will be dishing out the good stuff from 5 to 10 p.m. on April 27, all in the name of charity.

At participating Baskin Robbins locations, scoops of ice cream will be sold for a sweet 31 cents during a special event. According to information on Baskin Robbins' Facebook page , the event is in tribute to fallen firefighters and the company has made a pledge to donate $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Some locations will also be accepting donations for local fire departments as well.

This is the fifth year in a row the ice creamer has hosted the event. The price point was likely inspired by the company's iconic 31 flavors.

A special flavor, called Firehouse No. 31, has been featured during the month of April and will probably be a huge hit at the event. According to the Baskin Robbins' website , Firehouse No. 31 has "a crunchy hot cinnamon ribbon laced through red cinnamon ice cream and packed with hot candy pieces," with "vanilla ice cream to put out the fire."

And, of course, if that flavor doesn't suit your taste buds, 30 other options will be available, too.

Though the event is for an excellent cause, true ice cream gluttons might find one caveat. The promotional price only applies to the first three scoops according to information shared about the event on Baskin Robbins' Facebook page.

If you're interested in supporting the cause but not an ice cream fan, you can make a donation to the NFFF from your mobile phone. By messaging "NFFF" to 50555 you can make a $5 donation to foundation. Your contribution will simply be added to your regular bill or deducted from a prepaid allowance, according to information from Baskin Robbins.

Interested in attending the special event? You can locate the closest Baskin Robbins shop to you here .
