President Barack Obama plans to use Google's new social networking tool to communicate with Americans from across the country, who can submit questions this week for the president via YouTube.
The virtual interview with the president will happen Jan. 30 through Google+ Hangouts, a live video chat that can involve a number of people simultaneously, reported the White House.
"He'll be answering several of the most popular questions that have been submitted through YouTube, and some of the people who submitted questions will even be invited to join the president in the Hangout and take part in the live conversation," wrote Kori Schulman on The White House Blog .
To submit a question for Obama and to vote on your favorite questions, visit the White House YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/whitehouse . Between now and Jan. 28 you can upload your video question for President Obama. The most popular questions will air and get a response, and the people whose questions are selected can join the Hangout and chat with Obama in real-time, reported Gizmodo .
The answers will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 30.

Throughout this week, White House officials plan to take questions and discuss elements of the president's State of the Union speech, which he deliver at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday. The White House calls the effort an "enhanced broadcast," reported Gizmodo.
Obama has been labeled the first social media president. He's on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and Google+, according to The Los Angeles Times .
