(NewsCore) - A Florida man was being held without bail Sunday on charges that he was running a marijuana-growing operation in his home using stolen electricity.
Jorge Morejon-Guzman, 50, was arrested at his Tampa home Saturday night after deputies entered with a search warrant, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
The deputies found about 48 marijuana plants growing in a bedroom and another room full of plants being dried with an air conditioner, according to an arrest affidavit.
An official from power company Tampa Electric said Morejon-Guzman had stolen about $6,000 worth of electricity to power the operation.
He faces charges of manufacturing cannabis, maintaining a dwelling for drug use, trafficking in cannabis and grand theft.
