(NewsCore) - Tiny isn't.
Not by a long shot. The male dark gray cat weighs in at a staggering 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) -- three times the size of an average cat, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
But hopefully not for long.
Tiny, who was found abandoned in a box at the Fredericton Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Dec. 30, is on a diet and working out by chasing a laser dot, according to the Toronto Star.
The green-eyed Tiny, who can walk only short distances before taking a cat nap, has lost three pounds since being abandoned but the Star said that was apparently due to stress.
His foster carer reported he refused to eat for the first five days she took him in, then showed a liking for sardines, anything with gravy and dog treats. Now she's weaning him onto nutritious food in hopes of ending his reign as a fat cat.
