INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Super Bowl tailgaters who wait until the last minute to buy alcohol could be out of luck.
Indiana is one of only a handful of states that outlaw liquor sales on Sundays. That includes this Sunday, when the New York Giants play the New England Patriots in Indianapolis.
Restaurants and bars with the proper permits can serve alcohol on the premises on Sundays. But carryout liquor sales are banned from 3 a.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday.
That could leave out-of-staters unfamiliar with Indiana law frustrated in finding an 11th-hour six-pack or bottle of wine on game day.
