NBA Reveals All Star Game Starters

(NewsCore) - He may be subject to countless trade rumors, but Magic center Dwight Howard was still the fans' leading choice to start at the NBA All Star Game in Orlando later this month, the NBA announced Thursday night.

Howard's fellow starters for the Eastern Conference are Miami's dynamic duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Chicago's reigning MVP Derrick Rose and Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.

With Orlando hosting the Feb. 26 game, Howard had paced all comers throughout the fan voting period and ended up on top of the list when voting ended on Jan. 31.

Fan votes decide who starts for the Eastern and Western conference teams during the annual game, with reserves to be named by the teams' respective coaches on Feb. 9.

In just his second year in the league, Clippers highlight machine Blake Griffin earned himself a starting spot for the Western Conference, joining the Thunder's reigning scoring champion Kevin Durant and Lakers center Andrew Bynum in the front court.

Clippers point guard Chris Paul and Lakers veteran superstar Kobe Bryant were voted as the Western Conference's two starting guards.
