(EndPlay Staff Reports) - The big news may have been the Super Bowl and the Giants defeating the Patriots in a nail-biting ending, once again, four years later, but another NFL star seemed to garner attention despite not bringing his team, the Broncos, all the way to the championship game.
Tim Tebow was in the news for a variety of reasons this weekend, for everything from a possible political future to giving Alec Baldwin a "tebowing" lesson at the "NFL Honors" show.
In an interview with "Feherty Live," Sports Illustrated reported that Tebow didn't completely dismiss a political career in his future when asked by the host, David Feherty.
"For me, it could be something in my future. It's something I'll have to think about and pray about. I have no idea, but you know, it's possible," Tebow said.
The star quarterback was a busy man Saturday night, also appearing at the "NFL Honors" show. According to USA Today , when host Alec Baldwin attempted to "tebow" for the audience, the man himself appeared on stage to guide Baldwin in the correct pose. To which Baldwin replied, thankfully, "Bless you."
Pop star Katy Perry also gave some attention to Tebow during the show, making light of the rumors that her parents want to hook her up with the squeaky-clean athlete.
E! Online reported that when Perry presented the first award to Cam Netwon, she looked at Tebow sitting in the front row and said, "Hey Tim, my parents say hi."
According to reports, though, Tebow wasn't seen hanging around Perry, but did seem to be enamored with "Extra" correspondent, Maria Menounos.
The Chicago Sun Times and the New York Post both reported Tebow and Menounos spending a lot of time chatting together; even taking pictures together doing, what else, "tebowing."
